Watched "Wedding Daze" and Bought My Bath and Body Works Stash

My husband and I were once again at Greenhills to watch a movie.

We watched "Wedding Daze" by Jason Biggs and Isla Fisher. I found funny, cute and heart warming movie. The movie tackled the possibility of meeting "the one" across a crowded room, fall in love and get married. I know this might seem fat fetched but the romantic in me feels that this is indeed possible.

After that I went to the V-Mall area of Greenhills and bought my regular stash of Bath and Body Works lotion and bod splash. This time I got the green clover scent for the lotion and winter candy apple for the body splash. I just love Bath and Body Works and how I wish that we have a store here in the Philippines. I also want to buy the shampoos and conditioner but I have to wait for my relatives to go here or when I go visit the States again.

Another topic, my new Cook. Hmmm, I don't know if she's a good one though. So far the food she has cooked were just the typical type, so I'll just give her a week before I assess if I'll change her. Good thing I didn't have to cook because my new cook came on the day my old cook left. Good for me.....

Another update, yes that part of our messy room is still messy until today. Why, I needed to buy some hooks and organizer for my bags. I'll share that in my next post....

Great Buys at Gourdo's

I was once again in Greenhills Promenade to watch a movie with my husband. Since we were there early I decided to drop by a magazine stand, Fully Booked and Gourdo's (photo coutesy of www.gourdos.com/Webpage.html).

As usual, I ended buying from all 3 stores :)
What did I buy? Here's a look....
It looks a lot but actually they're all just bulky.
So onto the items I bought, I'll start of with Gourdo's. I was able to purchase a buy 1 take 1 set of glasses (good for 4 people each set) for the price of P495.00 (PESOS) ONLY!!!! Wasn't that such a great buy??? Imagine, the cost of one is just P61.88 (PESOS). It was made of thick glass so its not the type that's easily breakable. Well, I bought this even if I still have glasses because one of the things I learned was that YOU CAN NEVER HAVE ENOUGH GLASSES at home because it easily breaks. Following the same principle, I also bought 6 pieces of big tumbler glasses made of plastic at P50.00 each. I liked it because its big and handy for us so that we don't have to keep on pouring our drinks often. We do drink a lot of water that's why we always have a pitcher of water in our room. Another thing that I bought was a lemon zester but I'm actually going to use it as coconut grater because we also love coconut juice.

Lastly, I bought a medium and large copper tubs. I'm planning to
use the medium one as a magazine rack since we have a lot here at home. The big one will functions as storage bin and as an ice chest during parties (as suggested by the salesman). I thought it was a great idea because its easier to use that than the regular ice chest.

Then at the magazine rack stand I bought 2 back issues of In Stlye Magazine and at Fully Booked a book by Sophie Kinsela (one of my favorite authors) entitled Can you Keep a Secret?.

So there, Shopaholic Pinay invaded Greenhills Promenade....Till next time (ha-ha-ha :)

Shopaholic in Distress

I was so distressed last Friday and Saturday.Imagine, I went to the mall last Friday intending to buy books but of course on the side I also wanted to buy maybe some shoes or household stuff. But then, the mall was over crowded because of the pay day weekend sale.

It was so frustrating to shop because there were too many people trying to grab the discounted items in the different shops inside the mall. Plus the fact that the cashiers had long lines and it would take you 30 minutes to purchase an item. So, I just ended up buying my romance books.

Oh, by the way I'm still into this and I'm addicted with romance novels especially Mills and Boon. Its so easy to read and its a low brainer (ha-ha-ha). Some of friends accuse me as being to cheezy because of my fondness with these kinds of books but I don't really care.

Anyway, enough of that. Come Saturday I went to another mall this time hoping to find some shoes. To my dismay, the style that I wanted didn't have a size for me. This again is one of my furstrations, I have small feet and my shoe size is only 4.5 or 5 depending on the style.

As a result, it was a distressing two days for me. Oh well, better luck next time....

Maid Crisis Resolved

Yesterday was really bad, my cook prepared a really salty food and my husband went crazy with her already. He didn't eat the food and I ended up ordering food for him.

He already gave a statement that he will not eat anything she cooks. Yes, I was in panic mode yesterday. I was hoping that after he has eaten he would have cooled down and would have eaten the food she prepared for dinner. But no, he was so adamant in not eating anything.

So, I finally got to call the agency to look for cook ASAP. The agency said they would call me the following day. Despite my hesitation in getting a maid from an agency because of all the horror stories, I really didn't have a choice. I already got one from Sacred Heart before and I was happy with that maid unfortunately she left because she wanted to study.

I was really panicking because I had to fire her today and I don't have a replacement yet. It was no use letting her stay because my husband will not eat whatever she prepares.

I was already thinking that I will be forced to cook. Oh no, I got scared that my husband might end up in a bad mood anyway since I'm really a lousy cook. So, I started browsing all the cook books I had at home. I was thinking of preparing adobo and vegetables.

Today, I ended up ordering food and finally telling the cook that she's fired. I think she knew that it was already coming. I also heard from Sacred Heart Agency and I'll be fetching the new cook tomorrow. Hallelujah!!!!!

I'm crossing my fingers that this cook will turn out to be good.....
