Long Hiatus

Yes, I got caught up with the Christmas rush and frequent get together with friends.

As the designated social coordinator of the group, I was scheduling our get together every week and sometime twice in a week. I am also busy preparing for our Christmas party. On top of that I was also doing my Christmas Shopping.

Still have a few more gifts to buy and hopefully I'll finish everything this week.

On the side, I still managed to squeeze in some shopping for myself. Here's what I bought for the past 2 weeks. I bought a bag from CMG, shoes from Crocs, eye glasses from Mango, a dress and a blouse from Kamiseta.

I also bought some other stuff that I feel are useful: toilet seat cover (this is a must especially here in Philippines wherein some public restrooms are really unbearable), travel john (was thinking to try this when I join hubby in his fishing trips but I'm thinking that it may also be useful in the car for emergency cases especially during the Christmas season wherein traffic is extremely bad), my stash of Bath and Bodyworks lotion (I know I'm suppose to go organic already but this one thing that I really couldn't resist) and a brush for the dogs.

Whew, its just shopping, shopping and more shopping for the Holiday's :)

Last Weekend....

Didn't get to blog that much since last weekend, mainly because I was too lazy to do so....

Last Saturday, I attended the baptism of my godson Ben. He's really cute and he was crying the whole time. We were laughing so hard because his parents couldn't make him stop crying, when his grandma held him that was the only time he stopped crying.

After the sumptuous lunch at Richmonde Hotel, we all decided to meet again at around 5 pm at Bonifacio High Street. I couldn't help but browse around the shops.

Of course, I bought some stuff for myself and hubby. Hubby and I bought one tempur pillow each. One our friends recommended this pillow, in her words its really "fabulous" because it follows the contour of your head, minimizes snoring and removes neck or back pain. We were actually able to try the pillows and the mattress in the shop. What a pillow.....here's their web site http://philippines.tempur.com/. In my opinion its worth it even if its expensive at P7,150 each.

I also love pottery. I've been to this shop by a famous ceramic artist and I started falling in love with pottery. Here's what I bought from Serendra, 6 coasters and 2 jars. They are also expensive as well but to me they are worth it.

Then I dropped by several shops and I unfortunately got turned off in one of the shops named Mia Bella. They had really nice stuff but very rude sales assistants or ladies. I tried on one style of shoe and unfortunately it didn't fit me but another style did. So I wanted to try another style but this very rude sales lady told me that I don't think it would fit you. Talk about a lazy sales person, she was just too lazy to get me the size that I wanted. I was not in the mood to stoop down to her level, so I just ignored it. I continued browsing in their shop and I found another shoe that I wanted. So I requested if she could get me a new stock. After a few minutes she came back and told me that the display was the last stock. I requested for a discount because the shoe on display was a bit worn out already. Then when they said they couldn't give me one I left and my parting words were "Sorry na lang kayo, wala kayong benta!!!". To all those planning to shop in the store, beware of these rude sales ladies.

Anyway, I moved on to another shop called Peppered Cherry. Oh, I love their stuff and they are reasonably priced. I was able to b
uy just one item because I was really in the mood to buy some shoes. So I ended up with the jumper dress...

Last stop was a newly opened shoe store called Aldo. After waiting for several months for the shop to open, to my dismay their smallest size is still too big for me. I wanted to cry, the sales assistant was nice enough to get me several stocks and I even tried it with a cork, but it was still too big for me :( So I ended up buying a bag....

That was my adventure last weekend...

How do I Store My Bag Collection?

Yes, I love bags. Who doesn't??

Every time I go out especially to the mall, I will most likely be bringing home a bag. I actually lost count on how many bags I have. I think if I'm not mistaken, I have more than 60 bags (not counting those that I'm ready to sell or give away).

I don't go for any particular brand. As long as I like the style and I like the size, then I'd buy it. I especially love big bags because small bags doesn't really work for me. I always bring a lot of stuff in my bag and if I try using a small bag I will most likely forget something that I need.

The only time I use small bags is when I attend a formal gathering or go shopping in bazaars. What I'd do is bring a bigger bag and leave it in the car.

So because of my large bag and clothes collection, I can't store my bags in my closet in the masters bedroom. The best place to store them is in one of the cabinets in our guest rooms. Here's how it looks like.....

Yes it still looks messy but again I'm the only one who can clean or fix my bags. Hmmm, I still have some bags in my room I think about 7 that I frequently use. Then, I took out about 20 bags already for re-selling or to just give away to some of my friends or relatives...

I found this bag hanger at a Japanese store and its very cheap at P88.00 only. But the only problem is one hanger can just accommodate 5 bags especially if you have big bags like me :)

The bigger bags are at the bottom since they don't fit in the bag hanger. My problem now is I'm again running out of space.

Hmmm, what should I do next?

Shopaholic Pinay Strikes Again...

Ha-ha, Yes, I went shopping again!!!!!

After lunch I went to the parlor which was again inside a mall (Robinsons Galleria) to have a hair cut and hair treatment. I was scheduled to meet my friend at 4:30 PM so that was just right on time after my parlor thingy.

So, I had my hair cut and treatment starting at 2 PM. The thing is I finished early at 4PM. Since I know that my friend is not yet ready, I decided to check out some of the stores. Being a shopaholic, I ended up buying another clutch bag, blouse and earrings. This in a span of 30 minutes by just visiting 2 stores. Imagine if I visited more stores...Ha-ha, I think if I were to join a shopping contest I'd win assuming the mechanics were to buy as much items as you can in the shortest period of time.

At 4:30 met-up with my friend and decided to go to the Negros Fair at Rockwell. Its a bazaar showcasing some of the best items/food from Negros Occidental (Visayas Region). It was a bit of a disappointment because there were just a few stalls but of course being who I am, I was still able to buy a few stuff. I bought some dried fish, squid rings, barquillos, dulong (kind of fish in the Philippines) fried in olive oil and some cheese dip. Aside from that, I also bought some baskets and I bought my Mom a crucifix which I intend to give her as my Christmas present.

After our visit at the Negros Fair, we went around the mall again. Unfortunately, there were a lot of people which is so unusual. It was not too conducive to shop so I was not able to buy anything. We decided to just go to Fully Booked and I bought some magazines: Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping and Real Living. Hmm, my visit to a book store will not be complete without buying my romance novels, I only bought 2 since the others didn't really catch my fancy.

Then we had dinner at Cibo and went home early because I have to wake up at 7 AM tomorrow for that wedding out of town (Tagaytay).

Ooopss, I have to stop now because hubby just got back from his fishing trip. Time to spend some time together because we practically didn't see each other....

Shopping Marathon

Ok, today was my gym day. I go to Gold's Gym and its located inside the mall Robinsons Galleria. After my work-out I really intended to buy some stuff, but guess what? Of course, I ended up buying more than what I planned.

I bought about 5 items in less than an hour visiting 5 different stores inside the mall. Hmm, talk about a marathon.

Let me start off with what I
intended to buy. I wanted to buy black shoes, a black clutch bag and fashion tape. Why do I need these? I'll be attending a wedding on Sunday with my mother in law in Tagaytay. I'm not too happy with my black stilettos at home so I wanted a new one and for some reason or another I wanted a clutch bag to go with my dress and shoes :) This is the dress that I'm going to wear on Sunday and here's my new bag and shoes to go with it. I bought the shoes from Charles and Keith while the bag is from Dorothy Perkins.

Fashion tape, this is definitely a must have. I'm not sure if its noticeable but my dress has a rounded plunging neckline. To avoid unnecessary baring of private stuff, fashion tape is the answer!!! So, I dropped by Beauty Bar to buy the fashion tape :)

So, I was done with what I think was necessary or m
y must haves. But in trying to look for that "perfect clutch bag", I stumbled upon this bag from Wallis. I am really fond of big bags and I actually have a hard time using small bags because I have so much stuff that I need to bring every time I go out. I fell in love with the bag so I decided to buy is as well.

On to my last stop, I think this also a must have so more or less I only bought 1 item that was not on my list.

Remember my new maid or cook, well she requested for cook books in Filipino since all of my recipe books at home are in English. Since she was having a hard time understanding some of the terms, she requested me to buy some for her. I bought several to make sure that she'll be able to cook a variety of meals without having to repeat any meal in the next month thus avoiding a sure complaint from hubby. Ha, I think I found a gem in her....
